What is Lupus?
Lupus is a condition that can affect many parts of the body and can range from mild to life threatening. There are some types of lupus that affects the skin. Some medication can cause lupus like side effects. However there are severe versions which can affect joints and internal organs. However no matter mild or severe, symptoms can have a massive impact on daily life and be quite dis-stressing. Severe Lupus includes fatigue, rashes and joint pain. It is an autoimmune condition.

Who can get it?
It is more seen in women but anyone can Lupus. It is most likely to be diagnosed between the ages of 15 and 50.

It is quite uncommon, in the UK it affects 15,000 people. 90% of cases occur in women.
